Kieran Hebden, aka renowned producer Four Tet, just released his new album Morning / Evening today to celebrate the summer solstice. Originally scheduled to be released in early July, Morning / Evening is the eighth studio album from the U.K. deconstructionist, and consists of two tracks that are each roughly 20 minutes long.
According to the album description, Hebden created the album between last August and this past February using Ableton, synth plugins and manipulation of found audio recordings.
Morning / Evening serves as the follow-up to 2013’s Beautiful Rewind. The album is just two tracks, one titled “Morning” and the other “Evening”, clocking in at a total of 40-minutes and 17-seconds.
