California based label, Ubiquity Records has just announced the release of some incredible upcoming records for next month. One such record, is the much anticipated Bosq of Whiskey Barons debut album, Bosq y Orquesta De Madera.
Bosq’s a name that’s been brimming around on singles recently – but on this full album, he really opens up with a wonderfully deep groove – one that’s inspired by older styles of jazz, Latin, Brazilian, and even Afro Funk modes – but put together in ways that often mix organic and live instrumentation with some studio production too – yet always at a level that still retains all the warmth of the elements at the core. In creating this amazing work, Bosq of Whiskey Barons founder Ben Woods compiled a cast of musicians as skilled as they are diverse to form his ‘Orquestra De Madera‘ (Wooden Orchestra). It features work from, Benen, producer/guitarist Kaleta, Free Moral Agents vocalist Mendee Ichikawa, Tita Lima, Soundsci’s MC U-George, and Jesus Pagan, who together liter the tracks with their incredible talents and only help solidify the already phenomenal instrumentals laid down by Woods.
