Tim & Adam’s eponymous release is an electronica album with hints of psychedelia but they are not, as you would expect, two young gents generating their beats in the confines of their bedroom but male and female couple, Tim Yehezkely (the girl) and Adam Rosenberg (the boy).
Originating from south Florida, Tim and Adam is a project borne from Yehezkely and Rosenberg’s relationship and represents an interesting diversion from the couples’ other musical projects; in the case of Tim, The Postmarks and for Adam, various groups including I am Stereo. The luminescent yellow and pink colours of the album sleeve suggests that this album should be considered differently, that it bucks a trend and marks a new musical exploration for the couple away…

…from their previous work. The album collects ten tracks of electronica delivered with a deadpan vocal styling that focuses on rhythm over and above melody. Arrangements and instrumentation are reminiscent of Scandanavian group Mew, as well as Tilly and the Wall, although Tim and Adam demonstrate enough originality to be more than mere imitators. ‘Imago’ is a stand out track and contains enough drive and pathos to merit a listen.
